Title: FS FT Telefunken & Tungsram 12ax7 ecc83
Post by: Helping Friendly on January 23, 2016, 02:42:51 PM
I just posted this on another forum but figured I would post it here also incase someone was interested :
So I'm pretty much done tube rolling for the exception of buying a NOS Mullard with either I61 or I63 codes made by phillips labled Mullard, Siemens, Valvo or Amperex.

I have a NOS telefunken (smooth plate) and NOS Tungsram for sale or for trade for a Mullard like the previous discribed. If someone is interested in these tubes hit me up. Would love to make an even trade for a mullard but I would also do a strait sell. Both tubes are NOS specs and sound superb. No microphonic issues what so ever.  Thanks

I have a Tungsram - great tubes. Always heard great things about Telefunken, but I've never owned one. I have a decent size collection of NOS tubes (no Mullards - mostly American), but I've been selling them since I sold my Deluxe Reverb. I figured they would sound good in my Mesa, but I didn't want to get into that money pit. I guess I could test one of my ANOS/NOS 12AX7's in V1 though. Are you using these in a Mesa? How do you like it?

I sold my Black Plate GE 12AY7's, which were great for V1/V2 of the Fender, and I have a bunch of long-plate 12AU7's (black plates and clear tops) that kick ass for the reverb tube.
