Hits the F for some time and I think the build up is from the Bb working towards the D

They never get to the D trey just uses the solo to play in the Relative major.

pretty easy.. He just using the relative major of D in the pentatonic scale. (the F major pentatonic)

After the slide page comes back in with his vocals and trey hits a C on the 15th fret A string A few times to add some flavor
