Hey guys, I'm just looking to buy some 12" 8ohm speakers.  I don't have anything particular in mind....I just want to play mix and match and see what kind of sounds I can get.  I have 2 Weber Thames right now that are supposed to be like Fanes.  So if anybody has any speakers that they want to unload for a decent price, lemme know whatcha got!!!

How much do you guys want for them?

The least I would sell the CL80 for is $60. I don't think it will cost me more than $20 shipping.
How does $80 sound?

PS - just by chance I saw an 8ohm 50w Ceramic Weber Blue Dog on eBay. Its and auction and will end up costing more than the CL80, but its also a great speaker. They are a bit quieter (less efficient) than a Celestion unless Weber added a neodymium booster magnet (its rare that customers know they can order a speaker with a booster magnet, so its unlikely).

Probably the cheapest Alnico speaker you can find is an Eminence Red Fang. Its a Celestion Gold clone, but has a slightly more modern voicing.

Also consider V30's or Hellatone 60's (same speaker).

I've already got the Blue Dog on my watch list..haha.  Thanks for looking out though!  If I don't score it, I'll let you know when I got some extra cash in couple of weeks and take that speaker off your hands.

Has anyone tried the Weber Silver Bell?  There is one on ebay I was thinking about grabbing.

I tried a blue dog/silver bell combo with a clean fender and loved the sound, but did not try the combo with OD.
