Albuquerque
By Neil Young, as played by Phish
Transcribed by Tim Kelly
-------------------------------------
Em D
Well they say, that Santa Fe,
Em D
is less than 90 miles away,
Em G
and I've got time, to roll a number,
A D A
and rent a car.
Em D
Oh Al-buquerque
--------------------------------------
It's the same chords through the rest of the verses:
--------------------------------------
I've been flyin', down the road,
and I've been starvin', to be alone,
independent, of the scene,
that I've known.
Oh Al-buquerque
--------------------------------------
Here is where first Page, then Trey both take very small solos.
And it's only over one verses chords.
Then, the last verse:
--------------------------------------
So I'll stop, when I can,
Find some fried eggs, and country ham,
I'll find somewhere, where they don't care,
who I am.
Oh Al-buquerque
Oh Al-buquerque(with out instruments)

Neil Young-
Album: ?
from Mike Davis <niteshade@iquest.net>
This is my variation of this Neil Young song. It's played sorta similar
to what Trey plays but it is in no way an exact interpretation. In all
places where more than one note is being struck at a time I am using the
open fingers not holding the pick. It gives it a nice sound. The timing
is hard to get but if you have a copy of the song just make sure the
chords line up and it will sound fine. Basically on the D chords I am just
picking the chord in about as many ways I can think of, there is no right
way to do it. I hope that this is a helpful guide to you. I play what is
written as the intro, and for the verses I strum the chords. The chorus
I do not strum the chords I play the tab, but that is completely personal
preference. For the solo I play the intro again, and for the last verse
I strum the chords. This is a great song to play with no band accompanyment.
