Have you guys seen or ever looked at the Gibson Vegas High Roller, body shape, fret size, head stock, all very similar to trey's languedoc. Check it out. Do you think they did that purposely, because of people like us?

Hmmm...maybe.  I checked it out though, and I've been wondering for the last few months why a guitar company (or even some of these smaller luthiers) hasn't come up with a product similar to this, yet more of a replica than the Gibson.  I mean really...if you could design a 'Doc replica and sell it for $1000, they'd fly off the shelves, don't you think?  Obviously you'd be sacraficing a lot - no Koa, custom tailpiece, stock parts, etc., but other than that I think it could be done.

On second thought....maybe you're right!  I think Gibson has done exactly that.  I don't like the finish, however.  They should've just come right out and painted it like the 'Doc.  Plus it's only a semi-hollowbody, which I assume means it has the support block in the middle.  But I mean if they (or someone else) could come right out and do a 'Doc replica, make it look more like the 'Doc, I think it'd be a smash.

Totally....I was trying to think where I thought I had seen a model like that before, and it is the Starcaster, good call.
