Thanks man.  And giggidy to that!  We try to keep it diverse enough for everyone.  If I had my way, there'd be more jammy stuff here or there, but I do like how we're all over the place.  Keeps it very interesting.  Our bassist just posted on his Facebook page an overview since he's joined (November '08).  Well over 100 songs on the list.  And the cool thing about this band is their willingness to put a jam in just about any song.  Usually it's me pushing for the jam.  Take Glass Onion for example.  The song is only about two and a half minutes long...not nearly long enough for such a kick ass song, IMO.  So I lobbied for a jam over the verse chords when we started playing it.  Granted, it only makes it about a 3 minutes song, but it helps.  I got some resistance at first:

Him: "you can't add a jam/solo to a Beatles song, what would John Lennon say?!?"
Me: "I don't really give a fuck, he's not here....and if he was he'd probably say the same thing!"

When we play Billie Jean, we regularly push it past the 8 minute mark (it has a great launching pad at the end), but the thing about being a bar band like us is we don't have the freedom or room to go too too far past that timeframe...with any song.  You start losing people.  After all, it's not a Phish or Dead crowd (entirely).

I'm doing this setlist for Buck's BBQ and have been picking stuff out of the woodwork, shit we haven't done in forever, so it should be interesting.  We're (hopefully) adding some new stuff this show too: Trudy, The Race Is On, Instant Karma, and Shine A Light are shaping up nicely (granted, only 1 practice in, but I'm hopeful!)  Speaking of those last 2, I got some shit (and usually do) for bringing them in because Phish covered them first and then I get accused of only bringing in songs because Phish covered them.  I say "whatever" to that.  I hate that remark, and really...who gives a fuck why I'm bringing whatever in?  Bottom line is they're good songs.  So what if Phish lit the fuse on them?  The funny thing is that after we play them, for the most part everyone's usually like "wow, that was awesome, we sounded great on that!" etc. etc. etc.  It's like the dog who eat's his own turd, throws it up, and then does it again the next day.  Point is, some just never learn, lol =)

Anyways, looking forward to meeting you guys finally!  Cheers!
