Wondering of any of y'all have seen this or tried it out?

I was hoping for your opinions as it is a great price $70, for 2 TS's - an 808 into a 9.

I figured some of you might be interested in it too, even you didn't already have experience.

The only thing that concerns me is the 9 circuit is a 'modded 80's.' It says it has more body - I don't know if this means more low end, which would not be ideal. It has more gain too, but that is easy to dial back. I might just have to pick one up and maybe replace my Silver's ;)

Seems like a cool, often-used concept. Good price too.

Here's my cynical speak for the day: If this dual ts-9 is as good as the GFS pickups that came in a used guitar I bought, it will be as useful as an umbrella on a beautiful day.

My guitar tech's comment about the GFS pickups in my guitar when I took it to him to put Duncan's in it: "Well if this was the sound the previous owner was looking for, he sure found it!"

And heady, if you do get it please let us know how it works out.  As it's a rather cheap investment to find out the deetz.  I will go on record as saying my old Keeley Baked ts-9 was pretty useless in any high od settings, especially in combination with the more low end he adds to it.

Lol, I am skeptical too, and I tend to be picky. I wasn't at all familiar w gf, but not surprised their stuff might crappy at the price.

I think that if your going to go for a dual overdrive the Cmatmods Super Signa or Analogman King of Tone is what you want. I wouldnt trust GFS for effects pedals or pickups.

Yea, I got that sense, I'm not gonna try it even at $70, I don't know if I could sell it.

Apparently the SRB808 is cool, but it has more low-end, which is not ideal. I am pretty happy with the pedals I have, though a dual would save me a spot for powering a pedal on my Furman supply.
