When I go back and listen to Phish, my favorite tone of Trey's is his '99-'00 tone.  It has this smooth phase or almost grind to his sustained notes.  Does anyone know what mix of effects he is using to achieve this?  Examples are almost any Jam from Big Cypress, Chalkdust 7/10/99, or anything spacey from Fukuoka 6/14/00.  I know this is like chasing a unicorn but you have to have an ideal out there!

He stopped using the ross compressor around that time. Just the 2 silver modded tube screamers.
