Does anyone know if Trey ever engages the Wah and just leaves it toe forward to get a treble boost during solos.. One example would be birds of a feather where he kicks it on for the two note breakdown. But, Does he leave it on for the remainder of the solo?
That's just one example, more of a general question, within his soloing / effect usage.
I would agree there can be some moments, but nothing extensive
When I watch the webcasts it seems he never tries to leave the wah on intentionally, unless using it with his foot of course.
I think Brian has modified his wah so that when the treddle is all the way down (toe down) it is off, because he never seems like he has to do anything to engage it - just starts using it and it's on. And I've seen what you mention above, where he forgets to turn it "off", but all he does is push the toe all the way down and it turns off.
