General Discussion / Anyone going to Mexico?
Last post by Buffered - January 04, 2017, 11:44:07 PM
Hey all,

Hope you had a great new year. I'm getting ready to head to the Riviera Maya for Phish next week! I didn't make it last year, but I'm very excited to make it down there this time around.

Any of you folks going down for the shows? Any of you that have been, any suggestions or tips?

Hey Trunkyfunk. I'd be interested too. Where is your luthier based?

I have a few of the ebony pieces with the slots cut and can supply a piece of 1/8 brass for someone
able to work the brass with a dremel tool.  I use a metal cutoff blade. First I grind the ends round and then,
I am able to grind  a 14 inch radius then lightly file. Next use 220 - 320 - 400 - 600 grit and finally polish
with 1000 then 2000 grit.

The stud spacing in mine are 2 7/8 - You may have to drill the stud holes out a little but I think
most are pretty much a standard size.  PM me if you need one.

Cool story bro

Good point hoody. Those Komet amps seem pretty strait forward. They sound good from what I've heard on YouTube. In the mix I'm sure Trey will sound like Trey. It will be fun to hear any different subtleties tonight. I'll be in section 200's. Holla at me!
