What's going on, crew! Haven't checked in in a while, been a little busy in 2014.
Try had a new 'doc or maybe two on NYE, anyone know the scoop? He had a new blonde with a single middle coil (at least I don't think it was the old Lawn Boy era one, was it?) which he quickly abandoned for a sunburst one that I've never seen. What happened to the Koa Ocelot guitar, I thought that was a nice one!

I thought the Blonde was the Lawn Boy guitar, and I think the darkburst one was a refin of the one that had a neck twist. Love your band by the way!
Short answer, both old guitars.
I covered it in my document: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1yVeQHXjSIOoJbOw-cUz0WjD9x8b3L4qB-TnL6HVks7E
Just fyi, it was confirmed to me by Paul that the sunburst spruce top is infact Trey's #2 built in 1992.
Just in case there is any doubt.
Also, I spotted the Oce'Doc in a backstage photo on FB.
Seems like he's rediscovering the old ones, I think it sounds great.
I was on the floor the NYE about 1/3 of the way back. I was surprised when he came out playing "blondie." I thought it was gonna have the energy of last NYE truck set.
It sounded kinda muffled/not brilliant for the few songs he played. Went to get a beer and he was back on the sunburst. During Halfway to the moon maybe? I could tell he loves playing songs on the sunburst. Like a kid who just got a new guitar for christmas.

From the man himself at a show earlier in December
Sweet!
How does he find the coolest sweatshirts
I talked w/ Brian Brown at the 4th show of the Miami run before the show, he confirmed everything above, that it is the #2 spruce. Apparently the original neck warped and they had to replace it, but kept the same headstock. Interesting. Must've been quite a job.

I'll add it to the doc soon. Wonder if this is GD50 related.

I was thinking the same thing - Jerry used single coils a lot. But wasn't a big part of his sound that middle humbucker? I've been off my 'other people's guitar rigs' game lately, been focusing on other musical ventures
