Title: Reverse Delay pedal to cop Microverb Reverse setting?
Post by: Heady Jam Fan on January 31, 2013, 10:34:36 PM
like it say ^, any suggestions? No big thing, just figured if I could find something relatively cheap, it would be cool.

yea, i was hoping for something smaller, pedal format, don't want to go back to velcroing rack gear to my pedalboard.

My Digitech DigiDelay has a reverse setting...  New ones run about a hundred bucks, I'm sure you can do better on CL or eBay.  Its a pretty fun pedal, only wish it had longer loop capability.  The Reverse setting is what I love playing with the most.

The effect of the microverb is very subtle and he has the mix level quite low. You have to remember this is a reverse reverb not like a reverse delay.  I think the only way to get that sound is with an original microverb. When they came out with the microverb II it no longer had the reverse reverb setting.

Would the Hall of Fame be a good choice? Couldn't you just hook up a Boss switcher or something to your Microverb and set it on top of your amp?

Thanks for the suggestions guys! I might head over the a guitar shop this afternoon and check out a few things.

Sour D - thats a good point about the Microverb being, well, reverb, lol. In Trey's clean example, it is in the background and reverb-esc, but in the overdriven example, it seems to have a more prominent effect, kind of a bloom and change of attack.

Oh duh, yeah... I'll try to do a better job of reading from now on.  Is there an example of this sound that someone can point out to me?

Trey points it out in either this video, or part 2 of the same series. Really cool to see the man himself go through every piece!!!

Just posted in the discussion section - they all sucked for this application: DD20, Flashback, Echopark.

Looks like the Digiverb might be the ticket for a small-footprint pedal, going to check one out soon and see if it works - which also gives me another excuse to play the Mesa 5:25+ again ;). If that fails, I might hunt for a Microverb and use a TB switch.

They didn't have a Digiverb...
