Hey guys,

I'm working on trying to reduce the spam we keep receiving. It is possible that you might experience some forum issues while I'm doing this. It looks like one thing i might have to do is remove all the extra themes we have installed and just have the default SMF theme installed. Once i get everything fixed i will try and add the extra themes back. I won't be doing anything to the database so no posts will be lost. I will let you know once i have finished with all the maintenance.

i'm done for now. I have updated some out of date files and installed a new MOD that will check new users email addresses and ip addresses against an online database of spammers. If they are found their registration will be rejected. Hopefully this will help cut down on the huge volumes of real like spammers trying to register.

We are currently on SMF version 1.1.18. Before too long I'm going to try and get us upgraded to 2.0.4. I will let yo know when that happens.
