Title: Garageband tempo
Post by: Jkendrick on February 12, 2014, 01:30:51 AM
I'm trying to use Garageband to slow down sections of a recording and I can't seem to do it without a warbling that almost sounds like a Leslie cabinet. Basically I'm trying to use Garageband as a makeshift Amazing Slowdowner. I know I need to highlight the track, ctl-alt-G, and then select "follow tempo and pitch." But when I do that and then slow down the tempo, it warbles.  Am I doing something wrong. Has anyone else encountered this??

I tried using Audacity to slow it down and got the same effect. Is this just a normal artifact of changing tempo? Is there a way to correct it?

I think it is. If you're open to trying a new option for that, might I suggest the amazing slow downer. I have the app which works fine but the computer program may offer more control.

I haven't tried this on the new version of GB, but this is a common problem across software.

I have an app on my iPad that works much better, but I forget what its called. You can find it pretty easily in the app store.
