Title: Pre Silver Mod TS9
Post by: afountas on December 29, 2015, 09:57:32 PM
What was Trey playing before the silver Mod tube screamers?  .. Just TS9s modded to 808s?

I was reading analogmans site and he says this: In 2002 we came up with a new TS9/808/silver option to meet the requirements of those few super discriminating players. This modification is done in addition to our normal TS-808/Brown mod. It uses many expensive components to make the TS-808 circuit really come alive.

I think Trey was just using standard, vintage (early 80's) TS9s. I think there are pics out there of a milk crate full of 'em! There are a lot of older threads on this forum discussing preferences between the stock vintage TS9 and the Analogman Silver Mod.

He also used to use a ts10 in his bradshaw rack.

Indeed, Trey used a TS10 for his low gain sound for a few years
