Title: Trey's Bowie Riff
Post by: patrickstefanski on April 07, 2011, 06:37:05 PM
I bet you all think I'm going to ask about a lick try plays in "David Bowie" dontcha?

Actually, I've really been obsessed with Bowie lately.  And Phish's cover of "Life on Mars" is always awesome.

My question lies on the riff Trey/ Bowies string guy busts out in the chorus.  i.e. right after the "Sailors"  word.
All my puny untrained ear can hear is a descending major scale.......but I know there is some more stuff happening there.

any help would be appreciated.

I uploaded a good phish version here:  http://www.mediafire.com/?e6w02sjw9wbijmf

thanks.
