Title: Howdy
Post by: Heady Jam Fan on January 24, 2012, 04:56:38 PM
Hi I am new on this forum as a member, but I have read through a number of threads in the past! I posted in the Classifieds and I know from other forums, it is good to let people know who you are!

My name is Jon, I went to school for music and switch to Psychology (learning disability makes sight-reading impossible) so I am in grad school for psych and working for free to get credits (read-broke, lol).

I have been a fan of Jam since I was about 15, maybe earlier. It is in my blood - my uncle is a huge dead-head. I have played in a few jazz bands, not for about 7, maybe more years. I had a jam band last, but too busy now. I enjoy playing when I get time, gigging is pretty much impossible now. I also record when I get inspiration and time, again not in about 6 or so years.

Thanks all!

Hey guys! I just replied to your other post Lambone - much appreciated.

Manic - what is your TGP handle?

I have been on here before, but I finally gave in to accepting that the majority of my rig is trey-esce.

Very unimaginative...
TGP - manicstarseed,
Guitarists.net - manicstarseed,
The Boogie Board - NomadExpress

I literally saw your post http://www.thegearpage.net/board/showthread.php?t=547455&page=26 took mental note of  your handle and wondered If you were landed here or not...  The board screamed of Trey....

Lol - been here before, now I'm on here. I had a Trey-influenced rig a while back and decided not to aim for it, then ended up there by chance recently - just works so well!

Love Phish though and I think I am committing to trying it again, so I am looking for ideas on a Trey-style guitar - not cutting corners, but not breaking the bank!
