Title: Treys drum pedal
Post by: Brian27 on February 13, 2015, 06:14:49 PM
Can someone please explain to me what this new kick pedal Trey was using during the NYE run is all about?

Brian I'm curious what you think/thought of that pedal.  I'm all for him (and them) trying new stuff but I thought this was a little gimmicky.

I wonder what Fishman thinks too - I was just watching a show last night when he was using it - I kind of like the added flavor (in moderation), but I wonder if he uses it to get the band back on track?

I don't like the pedal to be honest with you. It is very gimmicky. Trey has the pedal. Mike has the bell. What is next? Page with a hi-hat?

LOL exactly.  Don't forget Fishman now has the Marimba Lumina.  I kind of like it sometimes, other times I don't.  I think the last 2 times they played Scent of a Mule (Vegas/NYE) he didn't play it, so maybe he'll just break it out less now.

As far as I know, Trey has only used the drum pedal for the clapping crap stuff, right?  I haven't caught him using it otherwise.
