Title: Did Trey Cop a Signature Riff From Chuck Mangione's Feels So Good?
Post by: Jkendrick on October 05, 2015, 11:10:48 PM
Listen to 2:06. Sounds like one of Trey's most signature licks to me although I've never tried to cop it fromTrey so I can't be sure.

I don't think he purposely stole it, but theres definitely a similarity.

That's a pretty generic lick imo.... besides all guitar players get licks from the ones before them anyway.

I did not mean it in a bad way. I've found licks Trey has copped before (Stash main lick is from a Wes Montgomery Body and Soul solo). I'm just interested as to where he finds his influences. Down_, can you point to others using that lick? There are similar licks for sure but I've never noticed anything that exact.
