Getting A Decent Trey Sound Using Amplitube

I currently use Amplitube 2, along with it's expansion packs (metal pack, Hendrix pack, Fender pack), and I was wondering if anybody else uses this and would happen to know a good setup to get a decent sounding Trey-esque sound out of it.  I'm currently using the Fender Twin Reverb amp, along with two of the TS9 copy overdrive pedals, and the compressor copy that Amplitube has.  I'm just wondering if there may be another way to get a little bit better Trey sound, or if anyone has any tricks or suggestions on other things I can try to get there.

Thanks!

I dont know man, ive never owned one of those.  I have been enlightened in this topic recently however, and i was told and have been convinced, that if you want a trey sound u gotta have the trey gear.  I believe Poster said something along the lines of its like i want the legs of a cheetah without having the head, arms, and ass hole of the cheetah.  That doesn't mean you can't get a good sound out of what you've got right now though, just dont expect your shit to sound identical to Treys.  I've wasted a lot of practice time fucking with knobs trying to get my tone to sound identical to treys when in reality turning a knob was the last thing that could make my tone sound like Treys.  Anyway, what kind of guitar are you playing? What else is in your rig?
LP Gibson Studio> Whammy II (currently not in rig)> Vox wah 847 (garmopat mod)>Ts9 (silver) X2> BiComp> Boomerang+> FDR '65 reissue

Hi,
First of all good luck trying to get that sound out of that it's nothing bad but were talking something serious here with wide range of sonics .I don't see the possibility I mean you can get ts9, Ross , his floor pedals all these do is shape his tones.Your gonna need a hollowbody guitar that's for sure also graphite picks , ever played with em there extremely good but what really pulls his greatness is the languedoc guitar and his deluxe reverb amp great part of that amp is that its point to point which gives that pretty sparkle. Of course its modified but its nothing new for deluxe reverb guy's have been doing those types of mods for ages especially the tube swap for gain stages and midrange boost for each channel. But if that doesn't suit your bill try DRRI it will need modding though nothing difficult just get that ceramic bright cap out and change it to a lower value you can also  add midrange value to it as well and be sure to get 12at7 in the v2 socket .You can try the twin there supposed to be the same just the twin with extra speaker means more power which hences difference.Saw trey playing with this group of African men they all had languedocs you could hear what trey get's but from the other guy's . But the guitar is 10,000 its worth it though. Also you can get new pickups Seymour's are great but i don't think he is using the standard sh1 it's gotta be parallel-axis59 which is the sh1???  and get it wired for series-parallel and coil cut, or master series-parallel. These wiring mods are extremely important ,even if you don't switch into them. But if you don't want anything like that you should get the pedals n run them through CAE switcher seriously you can't have those pedals and not run them through a switcher like that.Ive gotten the privilege to get a custom switcher from bob I swear i hate having to leave or turn it off can't get enough of the clean up it does. Also try a dm2000  yea its used for delays but  theres more to it try running it with no delay settings and the input @9 this adds very good range to your sound also the feedback helps at times just depends they've done so many variations its hard to tell what somebody wants.I hope this helps and that i didn't waste your time but this will definitely get started towards something.
cheers..

Did you really just write that all out? lol The guy just wanted to see what he could get out of amplitude 2. Do you have amplitude 2? Sounds like youve been meaning to blurt all that out. Do you have a languedoc? Are you Jackson Sneed. LOL

Its ok poster  but clearly you missed out on the whole idea of what im saying he also said are there any other ideas well first you can't use processor software to achieve what he wanted you can do things with them but none of that.Which led to what i said,,, by the end of the day you'll be alright poster sorry to offend..

Wow...that was difficult to read, but a good post.  A small request going forward = fewer run-on sentences and don't be afraid to hit the Enter key once in a while to break up your paragraph.  Other than that, like I said, good post.

First off, thanks everyone for the replies.  I wasn't trying to get Trey's EXACT sound, just something that sounds close enough to it to jam along.  I know it's going to be completely impossible to get his sound using Amplitube (hell, it's probably nearly impossible to get his exact sound with all his gear).

As far as my guitar, it's an Ibanez S470DXQM.  The rest of my rig is pretty simple.  Running Amplitube 2 with a Line 6 Toneport interface out of two KRK Rokit 5 monitors.

whoa on that post. good info...but geeze. try some overdrive pedals with the compressor through some sort of tweed amp. Good luck!
