New mixer/board for home recording

Hey guys -
I sold my super expensive Grace Design M201 on Ebay a few months ago, and now I have nothing to plug my mics into. I'd like to continue playing around with home recording as far as my guitar is concerned (perhaps leaving the vocals to those who can actually carry a tune). I'm almost completely sold on this:

I think it's perfect, since it has at least two mic inputs and on-board panning controls (so I can do two mic, hard panned Paul method easy) and EQ. I'd run a dual-XLR to mini plug from this mixer to my macbook pro, just as I did with the Grace Design.

Thoughts, anyone?

Looks pretty sweet.  I use an old Behringer MX602A (newer ones are called Xenyx).  Its 6 channels compared to your 12, 2 mic inputs compared to your 4.

I have one of those Mackies. It's ok for a small board. I think it only has 8 xlr inputs.

Sorry to resuscitate an old thread, but I was wondering how you would rate the sound of your Mackie.  Have you ever used it to record, or do you just use it as a live mixer?
