Is Trey oversaturating his tone?

I am not digging Treys dirty tone at this moment. I think his overdriven tone needs to be tamed a little. What does everyone else think?

I gotta agree, though I couldn't hear him very well from my seat last night, I think he's using a bit too much.  I prefer the Mesa sound he had going last year over the Bogner, honestly.

I agree with Mesa being the better choice, especially since it seems like the preamp drive curve is rather short compared to other amps.

Agreed but his sustain was amazeballs.  That older Koa style Doc just yearns to ring into the upper harmonics.

I am a huge fan of overtones, sustain, feedback, pinch harmonics, and of course that beautiful Koa Doc.

I'm really glad Trey brought out the older koa Doc. Honestly as beautiful as the newer one is, I think it sounds kinda dead compared to his previous one.

I agree.  The OceDoc is nice an all, but I don't think it has as much magic as the older guitars.
