Virus PM?

Did anybody else get a PM from ManInBlack saying there is a virus on your computer and to click a link?

Spammer sending PMs or tryng to spread viruses? Don't click the link folks.

what i believe is happening is that scammers are registering, sending out PMs to everybody in 4 minutes or so, then getting banned. sorry for the inconvenience, surely we can figure out a fix

teampanic has about 20,000 posts a month, 20-40 new members every month and i never get spam. Over there I have it setup so that we have to approve all new members. we can go to that if you want. we only have about a 100 posts a month and 10 members. admins will get a message up top that says "There is xx member(s) awaiting approval. you can click on it and then approve or deny each request.
