Partly to save some coin, but mostly to have something a bit different.  I could have sold some other guitars to cover the difference. Paul says this one is a bit easier to play at high volume, so that's a plus for me too since I'm no Trey...

Funny though I did notice most of the Guitars in this batch are G2s.

Awesome man, definitely post pics when you get them and congrats again, you must be psyched!  What's the ETA?

Wow, end of August.  That's soon!  Can't wait to hear your thoughts on every aspect of the guitar, once you get your hands on it.  Also, I'm curious to know exactly when you requested to be put on the waiting list.  I'd like to have some idea when my turn might roll around.

Yeah, he started the build back in February I think. He spent like 3 months on the necks alone.

I had been emailing Paul to be on the list for almost two years when all of a sudden I got a reply saying, "sorry I missed these, gunna fit you in the current batch."

so I was like phuck yeah!

I think he's currently booked two batches out, but I'm not sure.

I am thinking Iced Tea burst (like Gibson's) or solid Amber for the color.

I want this one...the wood (unless I can get a spruce top), color, everything, exactly like this:

Man, you got lucky.  I'm not even getting a response from him anymore, and I've been on the list since early '08.

Yeah, I don't know why he picked me...

Anyway, I opted for this color combo.
