This has been bugging me for a couple weeks now and I'm not really sure what it is, so I hope one of you guys knows.  So, the situation is that when I take my fingers off the strings on my Les Paul, I get this additional buzz that disappears once I touch the strings again.  The buzz occurs whether or not I have any pedals plugged in, so I know it's not that.  Is this some sort of grounding problem, or is it just how guitars are? Thanks!

I'm no tech wiz, but it sounds like grounding...

Yep grounding.  Go look at previous posts for this, we covered a bunch a couple months ago.  Everything metal in you guitar should be connected as one unit.  Plug everything into the same shared ground plug from the wall.  Otherwise use isolated grounds if coming from multiple sources.
