Boss OC-2

Anyone have experience with the Boss Octave pedal? I have the chance to pick one up for like $40. Would mainly use the octave down to set bass loops with the boomerang

I have a feeling if you had to choose between two (new one and OC-2) that the OC-2 is the one to get. The ones I heard the OC-2 sounded pretty good. It also looks like you can just have one or the other (octave up or octave down) or possibly blend them. Most of the pro level boards I have seen with these tend to be the OC-2 at least in the Jerry Rigs.

Price seems fair so long as it functions like it should.
