Chuck! Chuck, it's Marvin. Your cousin, Marvin Berry. You know that new sound you're looking for?

My Guess is the Avalon U5 DI/Preamp? (Based on the photo) Lot of Acoustic and Bass players use these.
Is this that extra crispy sound thats been happening?

Nice photo. It is a Avalon DI. Tons of folks use them these days.

The wah looks different to me than the crybaby as well.

I could understand it's use for a bass rig or acoustic going direct (with monitors) but for an electric its not making sense. Seems you would be running a preamp/di into another preamp via the boogie or fender. Maybe its used to buffer the pickup's signal on the way to the amp?

Had no idea he was using this... I don't see the reason thus far unless he is only using with his acoustic.

He is using a grey made in taiwan ross.
