I'm going to try and word this carefully because I don't want to deter people from buying this guitar, but still want to be completely up front about my feelings towards it. Owning a guitar like this feels like a big responsibility to me. I don't feel comfortable leaving it in my car or at someone else's house while I go somewhere else. I travel from Nashville to Chicago every few months, usually sleeping in peoples living rooms. Bringing a $700 telecaster with me is a breeze. Bringing a very valuable custom instrument would be a constant panic attack. I also don't feel like owning an expensive custom guitar is financially responsible for me. I don't need to bore ya'll with the details, let's just say that it was a semi-irresponsible purchase and leave it at that.
Some notes on playability. It plays nicer than any other hollowbody electric that I've played. It's not physically harder to play that most strat/tele style guitars, but learning how to handle the type of feedback that a hollow guitar naturally throws at you takes time. The upside is a hollow guitar allows you to produce really awesome tones and feedback just by pressing down on certain frets (with a low to moderate level of distortion, or when you're playing clean at a decent volume). The downside; It's kind of a tricky beast to control at higher volume levels. I can plug my telecaster into a random amp and be able to play pretty loudly with lots of predictability. With the mini, there's a number of factors that make a larger difference in playability than with the average solid body guitar. Orientation of the guitar to the amp, natural room reverb, sound coming from other people's instruments just to name a few.
Overall I've been very impressed with David's work, and this guitar is still a joy to play, but after about 9 months I don't feel the sort of pull and attachment towards it that I was expecting to feel. I hope this answered some questions. Feel free to let me know if there's anything else you'd like to know.

Couple things worth noting. I took my guitar to a professional to get the stripped strap button filled and redrilled. Good as new. Also got the pickup switch fixed at the same time, and it stays in place just fine now. About two weeks from now, I'm going out of town for a little over a month. It's kind of a long shot, but it would be great to get this sold before I leave. If anyone's interested in owning this guitar, feel free to make me an offer and maybe we can work something out.

Hi, I'm interested in the guitar - looking for a languedoc replica for my Phish tribute band. Can you first explain what the difference between a 'mini' and a 'standard' equator is?

Yes, I have checked the website. I understand it's 93% of the standard size. I guess I'm wondering why that matters. How will it affect tone/playability?
