but notice the use of the mystery effect. he messes around with something that makes his signal feedback, then jumps on the wah... still cant quite figure exactly what it is

Yup....we gotta get more sleuths in on this action and figure out wtf that toy is.  I gotta have that sound, or at least something similar.  That is THE one I've been looking for as well, and I'm glad you've called attention to it.

PS - is there any way to DL youtube vids and burn them to DVD?

um ya there are a apps out there to copy various forms of stream and feeds of video. i have no idea how they work and what not
