due to some extreme boredom this afternoon i decided to rewatch pirates 3. when i saw it in theatres with my friend we were utterly befuddled by how many plot twists and betrayls there were, the entire movie was so convoluted it was unbelievable. so when i rewatched it this afternoon i decided to make a list of every betrayal in the movie... get ready for an epic waste of a post about an epic waste of a movie.

Pirates 3 Betrayal Guide

1) Lord Beckett betrays citizens- suspends right to habeus corpus
2) Barbosa and crew betray asian pirates- bring secret squad in for protection
3) Will Turner betrays asian pirates- tries to steal secret ancient maps
4) Jack Sparrow betrayed asian pirates- not specifically mentioned how
5) Random stranger betrays pirates- tips off east india trading company as to the whereabouts of the meeting between asian pirates and Barbosas crew
6) WIll Turner betrays all pirates- offers asian pirate lord opportunity to make a deal with beckett so he can get the black pearl and free his father
7) Asian pirate lord betrays all pirates- gives Barbosa a ship and a crew to get them out of singapore while he makes a deal with east india trading company set up by will
Beckett betrays Elizabeths father- sentences him to execution
9) Davy Jones betrays Kraken- kills it as ordered by lord beckett
10) Jack Sparrow betrays Jack Sparrow clones- kills them over peanuts
11) Jack reveals Elizabeth betrayed him- fed him to kraken
12) Elizabeth betrays WIll- didn't tell him why she kissed Jack
13) Davy Jones betrays Calypso- refuses to ferry souls to the other side
14) WIll betrays Jack betrays Barbosa Betrays Elizabeth- draw guns over various reasons, jack doesnt want to go to brethren court, barbosa and elizabeth want to make him go. Ends with guns not going off because the powders wet.
15) Crew given by asian pirate Lord betray Barbosa and crew- take them hostage and bring them to asian pirate lord
16) Will Turner betrays all pirates- steals Black Pearl with help of asian pirates
17) Asian pirates betray WIll Turner- take Black Pearl
18) Jack Sparrow betrays Brethern Court- gives Beckett info in exchange for debt squaring with Davy Jones

20) Brethern Court betray Calypso- trap her in human form
21) Beckett betrays Jack- steals Jack's magic compass
22) Asian Pirates betray Beckett- rejoin Brethren court when they hear calypso can help them defeat east india trading company
23) Elizabeth betrays WIll- agrees to ride with asian pirate lord
24) Jack betrays Will- once back aboard the Black Pearl Jack sends Will to the brig
25) Asian Pirate betrays Elizabeth- starts trying to rape her before being smashed by a cannonball
26) Beckett betrays James Norringham- tells him elizabeths fathers been send to England
27) Will betrays his father- wont kill Davy Jones (which would free his father from servitude) because he wants to be with Elizabeth
28) Will betrays pirates- leaves trail for Beckett to follow
29) Jack betrays WIll- throws him off the ship for Davy Jones to find
30) Norringham betrays Beckett- helps pirates escape dutchman
31) Bootstrap Bill betrays Norringham- \"part of the crew part of the ship\" stabs him
32) Dutchman's crew betrays English- kill english sailors aboard, stop when english reveal they have cannons aimed at Jones heart
33) Barbosa betrays Calypso- sends her to the brig for threatening him
34) Will betrays Jack- tells Davy Jones that Jack is alive along with the Black Pearl
35) Davy Jones betrays Calypso- showed Brethren court how to bind calypso to human form
36) Will betrays Calypso- tells Jones Calypso's whereabouts
37) Pirate Brethren betray each other- break out into battle over the proposal to free calypso
38) Calypso betrays Jones- after 10 years of service bringing souls to the other side Jones returns to see calypso and she doesn't show
39) Calypso betrays  Brethren court- when she is freed she tries to kill pirates and help Jones

41) Barbosa betrays Brethren court- frees calypso despite their decision not to
42) Davy Jones betrays english- kills the human sailors on board the dutchmen during final battle
43) Bootstrap Bill betrays WIll- tries to kill him during the final battle due to insanity
44) Bootstrap BIll betrays Davy Jones- attacks Jones giving WIll time to stab Jones heart
45) Beckett betrays Jack- tries to kill him after agreeing not to in exchange for the brethren court info
46) Kiera Knightly betrayed all males watching- turns her character into a snarly undesirable dike, from the hot semi tough chick she was in the first movie

absolutely ridiclous. despite all these plot twists i did enjoy the movie, had some decent action scenes. i'll be back next week with 100 reasons spiderman 3 was terrible  :wink:
