Ha, fair enough.  Do I have to go through hell week or some sort of hazing?   If not..... can I?  ;D

Mostly I've been playing my Schecter c1 classic which I bought in 2003, still a pretty decent guitar.  Amp is a 1971 Twin with an added master volume.  Random pedals - mostly I just play with a TS9, wah & delay with amp vibrato & reverb.  Ross comp is ok, I bought it a long long time ago, dont really use it most of the time, same with CS9 and BF2.

I have been looking hard at Schecters lately. How does yours sound through a Fender?

Are you talking about Troy Understandio from The Fish?  I heard people do a lot of drugs at their concerts

Ok damn it, I'll start using the Ross again.  It gets some nice sustain...

I love my Schecter.. probably why I've had it for 10 years without getting something new.  Oh yeah, new guitars also cost $$$... minor detail.  But anyway, I love it, it feels amazing, like stroking a gorgeous booty.  A bit heavy, though.  Sustains all day, which is why I guess I haven't used the Ross that much.  It can sound a bit bright, but we can work around that - the pickups are SD JB/Jazz combo humbuckers.  I can get really great Strat/Tele/GibsonLesPaul/ReedSmith/JEM tones on it (5 way selector).

Through my Fender it sounds great on the Vibrato channel.  But as I said, it can get bright.  I have played it through several Fenders, it usually sounds pretty sweet.  I had the same question when I got it, I wasn't sure it would be "right" for my 71 Twin, but other musicians I've played out with have told me I get sick tone out of it... so who knows.  Its all subjective I guess.

I'll post some of me playing it, you can be the judge, but don't believe anything I say... go check one out.  For the money, they're a great guitar.

Cleveland rocks, apparently.  (Maybe a little less than Akron, Wesley Bright & The Hi-Lites and Black Keys pretty much gives them the nod over C-town)...  But Cleveland DOES have this:

I took this picture last summer then a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame employee came over and said, "No pictures!"

Yeah, FT...  we went to see Donna Jean Godchaux speak during Dead week - the current exhibit @ the R&R HOF is the Grateful Dead.  They had Mickey speak, Phil, and Donna, all one week.  I met Donna afterwards, told her a pretty personal story that I wanted her to hear, basically just saying thanks for making my life a much more beautiful and vibrant place, through some really dark, scary times, and during some great ones.

She gave me a hug and a kiss, told me I was blessed and that "You're going to have a lot of love in your life!"   Coolest thing is, she tracked me down by email about 2 days later and said the stuff we talked about really had an impact on her and she was flattered.... How cool is THAT?

Thanks!  She was SUPER cool.  I couldn't believe that she emailed me 2 days later.  I was diagnosed with cancer a few years back, and I told her that she was always there for me during some horrible times in the hospital, after surgeries & radiations, going in for scans...  Really helped me get through a horrible time in my life, and I told her how grateful I was for being a source of happiness and positivity and hope in my life when I didn't have a whole lot of my own.   I was almost 1 year into remission, and said that I couldn't have made it that far without having people like her to help me... That's when she gave me a HUGE HUGE hug and kissed me - she said "You're going to have a lot of love in your life" and that it was the greatest compliment she'd ever received in her life.   She was so amazing.  I GOT A KISS FROM DONNA JEAN!!!
